Petrolatum Tape System deliver durable long term corrosion protection under the most aggressive atmospheric service for full burial and full immersion even when applied over poorly prepared substrates.
The cold-applied tape has non-hardening and non-cracking properties which remains plastic and flexible without burning or freezing across a wide temperature range.

For Blue EPDM Gasket Joints
Prior to PetroWrap 4 Step Application:
Apply 2 wraps of PetroWrap Overwrap Tape directly on cleaned joint to protect EPDM gasket integrity.
Prep
Prepare the steel substrate to ISO standards, using pressure water blasting where required, then apply two wraps of Petrowrap Overwrap Tape to protect EPDM gasket integrity.
Apply Primer
Apply a thin uniform layer of Petrolatum Primer by hand or gloves (recommended) onto the cleaned substrate. Apply more to fill crevices and cavities and coat threads.
Shape Mastic
Apply the required Mastic to profile angular projections with have the potential to perforate the Petrolatum Tape.
Wrap Tape
Wrap the UCC Petrolatum Tape with a full turn, then continue spirally with a 55% overlap to form a double layer and overlap 100mm to ensure continuous protection.
PVC Overwrap
Wrap the UCC PVC Overwrap Tape with a full turn, then continue spirally with a 55% overlap to form a double layer and overlap 100mm to prevent wrinkling.
