Tightening Requirements:
- Tightening sequence of fastenings as per ASME PCC-1
- Fastenings need to be well lubricated — refer WaterCare document ‘Steel Bolted Flange Joint’
- Torque calculations referenced from WSA 109 — Flange Assembly Torque Calculator v5
Gasket storage:
- Gaskets can be stored folded for up to 3 months from date of packing, after which they must be stored flat on a smooth surface.
- RidgeTyte gaskets have a shelf life of 5–10 years when stored as per ISO 2230:2002.
